I am a huge fan of Tyler Rabbit's coin work on his Coin Magic Underground Youtube channel. I think he is one of the brightest young stars in coin magic and he is a large influence on me. He's been active at the green place, but I really hope we could get him here some time. His most recent work has been Cult Magic Underground, a line of videos where he visits restaurants in the L.A. area run by cults, and performs coin magic inspired by them.

Tyler has finally posted Cult Magic Underground part 4, the finale. It's a live comedic magic stage performance and is fantastic. I recommend you watch the three previous videos first, but if not still don't miss this performance.

Thanks for sharing this Jeremy. I've never heard of Tyler Rabbit before.

He seems to use very simple methods but his audience is obviously being entertained by them.

I wasn't aware that California has mandated that an organization's name has to be stated on their collection boxes. If that law is passed in Oregon I'll have to have our offering bags embroidered [smile]

He does great with simple methods, and they are very polished. If you watch other videos not from this series he definitely has some serious chops, but it seems he agrees with me that if you can get the job done successfully with simpler methods there is no reason to go for the more advanced. When he needs to use the more advanced he will, though.

What I love the most about him is that he has a great, genuine, likable personality that creates some very entertaining performances. This is both when he's just performing as himself or a comedic character such as the final Cult Magic Underground video. And he is very knowledgable and influenced by the classic coin magicians and techniques, yet has created something unique and original through his mix of classic and modern and his unique personality.
