I just got out of the hospital after have pneumonia and influenza a, and seeing as how i will be home for some time now, i got Royal Road off the shelf. The first page i turned to was something i had not seen before, the double lift glimpse. So i am going to play around with it today.

Isn't it a cool feeling when you come across something this way?

I'm sure others have had similar experiences, huh?

Glad you are well enough to get out of the hospital!  Pneumonia is no joke and the flu is just adding to your misery.

I have found most books to have hidden gems in them.  Either they didn't make sense the first time you read them or you went "meh" and moved on.  Then you see someone perform the move or the routine and it blows your mind.
Also, some books have work that requires a perfect faro and many new magicians read that and move on.  When you finally can perform a perfect faro, don't forget to go back and try the routines you passed by previously.

Happy to hear the good news about your royal road to recovery! I'm with Ray, there are wonderful gems tucked between the covers of practically every book on my shelves. I make a point of pulling an older volume every month, dusting it off, and seeing what's inside that I missed, forgot, or blew off on the first go-round or two. This month's choice was Duffie's Card Compulsions.

Keep on keeping on, Michael!

Ray, you are so right. I probably glanced at the double lift glimpse title a hundred times, but today i zeroed in on it for some reason. Maybe all the antibiotics

I am glad to hear you are recovering well. I too often find stuff in old books that I am CERTAIN wasn't there when I read them before. Maybe that is why I think of them as magic books.
