So I recently purchased Kainoa's Coins on edge.. Been working on it off and on for about 2 weeks now and I don't really have any problems getting one or numerous coins into edge grip. However producing them is my problem.. let's say I'm holding 3-4 coins in EG.. The first production is fine, however trying to produce a second one, while holding a coin in EG display and still concealing one or more in edge grip is impossible for me. When I go to do the second production, however many coins left in EG just fall out immediately.. any pointers? Thanks.

Hi Elliot, I'm not knowledgeable enought with coins to answer your question, but I wanted to welcome to the forum and assure you that someone here will be able to help you.

Take care,

Rudy

I don't know if you are familiar with the Popout move by Sankey and others. You have your index extended and apparently the hand is empty but it is holding some coins in classic palm. Then you pretend to see something in the air and "thrust" your hand and apparently your finger "finds" an invisible coin in the air, "traps" it and then slam it on the table. You pretend to make the coin appear and place it on the table, all with your index finger (I am being a little cryptic in the description in case non magicians get to read this). Well the beauty and difficulty of this effect is that you hold coins in classic palm and need to release them ONE BY ONE. The tip here is, and something you could try and see if it works for you, that the stack of coins is not straight but a little stepped. These steps help you to release the coins one by one. Try it (and I hope you understand what I am trying to say).

You could move them back a bit into Down's palm and do that production

Thank you for the responses. LuigiMar, I do understand what you are saying, although I don't think stepping the coins will help me in this situation. The edge grip I've been working on is essentially a 2nd finger downs palm.. My trouble is that as I move my 2nd finger to produce a coin from a stack I loose control of the entire stack because it too is supported by the 2nd finger.. if that makes sense?
