Great job Rudy. Everything by Richard Vollmar in those Apocalypse's are great effects.

Nice job, Rudy. I recall a Richard Vollmer trick called Earthly Powers from Apocalypse that was excellent. After publishing it, Harry went on to expand the idea and came up with several cool variations.

The very first routine in AND FINALLY! - based on the original - is the routine I use now - and always will. And, to sort of "close the circle," the last - about the 70th routine in the book  - is also based on the original. KILLERS both.

Nice, Rudy. This also reminds me of "Double Pinochle" from The Card Magic of Nick Trost, where I see the basic handling is attributed to Ted Biet in a June 1982 issue of Genii.

that count/display is very deceptive when you do it smooth

I hauled out my Apocalypse Red volume and starting working on this. This is a terrific effect. Thanks Rudy, for pointing it out!

Very nice Rudy -- my Apocalpyse Red looks nothing like yours -- mine's got yellow stickies sticking out all over the place 😉

Gonna haul that baby out and look at this one!

Thanks for pointing it out!

I liked the way you displayed the '4' kings -- I studied your video to figure out the handling and initial setup difference to do that -- I was already doing all 4 aces at the end.

Very cool to play with!

Sorry for the delayed response! I'm in Africa and have very limited access to the internet. For more details on the handling of those kings, check out Benjamin Earl's "Past Midnight" DVD set. That's where I learned it.

So glad that you like it.
