If you take a regulation deck of 52 cards and spell the names of cards without their suits, you will end on the very last card of the deck. Begin by spelling A-C-E, then T-W-O, then T-H-R-E-E, (deal each card off the pack and onto the table), then F-O-U-R, ending on the KING and you will have dealt off all the cards in the deck. It's an odd coincidence the the total number of letters in the values of the cards (in English) equals exactly 52.

Bro. John Hamman also has a routine that uses this fact - he called it "Chinese Miracle". It's one of those rare tricks in which the name is significant. I used to perform it with a science fiction patter line about demonstrating how cards are shuffled on Mars so I called it "Martian Miracle".
