I would like to purchase one of Harry's books but I noticed they are very expensive, although worth every penny I'm sure. Money is kind of tight right now, but I have an opportunity to get Harry's favorite card tricks for $17 new.
I was wondering if that's a good book to start from Harry's collection?

I love and have been doing the one-eyed Jack sandwich so I'm sure I will love his other masterpieces.

If you are okay with ebooks, Lybrary.com has several of Harry's early books available at fantastic prices. My Favorite Card Tricks is among them.

Harry has a lot of ebooks on his site. I would strongly recommend Close-Up Card Magic for $15.95. That’s a bargain.

And - a real bargain - the LORAYNE: THE CLASSIC COLLECTION, Vol. 1 e-book contains the updates, re-writes, etc., of CLOSE-UP CARD MAGIC, PERSONAL SECRECTS, MY FAVORITE CARD TRICKS, DECK-STERITY. Plus - THE EPITOME LOCATION, and some  new stuff. Talk about "the good stuff"!!   (Forgive the ego - but...if you don't think that's one h*ll of a bargain - you shouldn't be into card magic!)
