For the sake of our non-Spanish speaking members...I used Google to translate this question into English, but it wasn't translated well:

"Hi everyone, I need help with part of an effect that Banachek called "Lorayne's Buck" in Vol 1 of his PSI series, where he asks a spectator to put a ticket inside an envelope and mix it with other envelopes. Banachek previously removed the empty envelopes guess what the ticket has.

What I do not understand later in the explanation given as it does to eliminate the envelopes, my understanding of English is not very good. I hope someone can help me with this and from now thank you very much!"

I corrected it a little so it made sense:

"Hi everyone, I need help with an effect that Banachek called "Lorayne's Buck" explained in Vol 1 of his PSI series, where he asks a spectator to put a piece of paper inside an envelope and mix it with other empty envelopes. Banachek turns his back and before eliminating the empty envelopes he finds the one that has the paper. What I don't understand is the explanation of how he does it, my understanding of English is not very good. I hope someone can help me with this and from now thank you very much!"

Hi viamagus and Rossi,

would it be of help if I send a message with short hints regarding the method to you, viamagus, and you would translate them into spanish?! I speak French and do understand some spanish but can´t translate anything I would want to say...or is your problem already solved, Rossi? I would´nt like to discuss the method here openly...

All the best,

Axel

My first language is Spanish. I saw this a few minutes after it was posted and I wanted to translate it but I had no time then and when I came back Rudy had already translated it. Axel, you may want to send the hints here or PM them to me and I can send the message to Rossi, your call...

I don't have the Banachek DVDs so I cannot help myself...

A long time ago there was a routine in a magic site (which is gone I think, I cannot find it) where you could also find an object inside an envelope. The magic happened thanks to the envelopes but I cannot offer the same advice because I don't know Banachek's routine...

Luigimar,

you get the whole credits because the really hard work was to try to understand and to work through my description in broken English and then to take it into Spanish language! Without you there would have been no exchange! So thank you from my side for taking over the responsible act of translating my humble words!

But thank you for letting me know that we have pleased Rossi. He also e-mailed me thanks yesterday.

Hope to see you at Allan Ackerman´s lecture!

All the best,

Axel

Thank you Luis and Axel!

You gentleman are incredibly helpful! We're lucky to have you as part of this community!
By the way, does the title of this effect have anything to do with Harry?

Rudy

Thanks to you too Axel! You also had to watch the video several times to try to convey the meaning of the image and turn it into words.

And yes I will be there, watching Allan do a superb job...

And the best to you too!

Hi Rudy and Luis,

thank you both for your kind words!

Yes the effect has something to do with Harry, haven´t watched  Banacheks DVD again and haven´t tracked down the real piece of Harry´s magic but the effect is that a loan bill (chosen from several offered billets) is inserted in an envelope, three other empty envelopes are added and laid out on the table, the spectator switches the envelopes several times (based on a Hummer idea) while the magician has turned his back the magicians eliminates some of the envelopes and at the end (what  a surprise!) the envelope with the billet remains. As a kicker the spectator takes out the loan billet and concentrates on the serial number that is now revealed by the magician....Harry´s ending is done by memory work, instantaneously memorizing the serial number of the loan bill...Banachek eliminates that through another technique...
As I wrote, haven´t the real routine of Harry´s in mind but I think there is something similar in Mathematical Wizardry (rewritten L:TCC 5), Money Talks or something like that but I don´t remember if there is the kicker ending of revealing the serial number...have to do some research!
