Due to the massive amounts of literature on the subject it may help us help you if you maybe gave a little detail. Do you have any current experience with stage hypnosis?  Any hypnosis?  Are you looking at large theaters or smaller audiences.  Comedy? informative? There is just so much info it is hard, at least for me to give any direction without knowing more.   the basic question would be have you ever hypnotized anybody?

Hey,

why do you want to approach stage hypnosis?

I know that it is quite common in these days. In Germany it feels that literally every professional Mentalist now do a hypnosis performance as well.
I saw a lot of them and for me it seems that the ‚victim‘ has allways to do silly things.
Michael Ammar once said in a lecture ‚only do things with a spectator on a stage having in mind that this spectator could be your own mother‘.

Try to find some interviews with David Berglas. He used to be one of Europe‘s most famous stage hypnotists. Now he is among the critics.

Ok, thank you. I just saw that Bob Cassidy had mentioned stage hypnosis. I have no experience, I am just interested to know about it. I am a bigginer in the area of mentalism. I have experience with card magic, and know I began learning mentalism. I have tried the basic routine of Bob Cassidy, where he mentioned the "Dr. Q complete hypnotic act - William Larsen". It just interested me to begin working with it.

I actually want to start with something basic. As I said, I tried the routine of Bob Cassidy, with the eyes that can't open. It is basic routine and it just worked to me all the times.

Okay then if that is what you are looking for then I'd suggest  https://www.lybrary.com/the-real-work-of-stage-hypnosis-p-564.html

However it is a very big jump to get from "experience with card magic" to starting up with mentalism to stage hypnosis.  That said see the above link because if you are having success with Bob Cassidy type material then that is a great path to head down.

I agree with Bmat. If you are interested in the methods and workings a google search will give you tons of informations about hypnosis in general.

The Routine you mentioned above (Dr. Q complete hypnotic act - William Larsen) is explained in bis book

https://forums.geniimagazine.com/viewtopic.php?t=28169

But this is a fake hypnotic act. It just pretend to be the real thing.

I don't think you can go far wrong with this book. It covers most aspects and will give a good overview of most questions you will probably have.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Encyclopedia-Stage-Hypnotism/dp/1899836020

However, I would suggest that good hypnotism requires training and practice and is not something that can just be learnt from a book.

Thank you. Actually it seems quite strange because Bob Cassidy introduces the "Stage Hypnosis" as separated from hypnosis, except for the concept. He says that it's all "fake" and than he says that after having a trial of this routine you can move to "standard" routines.

Alex Duvall has to be one of the funniest on the subject ....  I think he sells materials on stage hypnosis.  He is my choice.

Hope it helps
