Sometimes magic is about transformation.

With insTand, you take a table designed to hold a laptop and transform it into a worker's magic table.

Years ago I saw Rick Maue perform and he used an insTand table. I asked him about it, took a look at it and when I got home, I ordered one with the smaller top. When I got the smaller top, I ordered the larger top.

I've had this table for more years than I can remember. I know I had it in NJ and I've been in NY state for almost 10 years. That's a lot of mileage on a little table. I've used it for stage shows, outdoor strolling, busking, as a main table, a side table to hold gear before we go out, to hold our sound board, etc. It's worked a lot.

Just this weekend as I was getting ready for the Mentalissimo book club meeting, I pulled out the one leg and the connection point cracked and broke. I emailed the company and they are sending me an RMA to send it to them for repair. They said they usually turn it around and have it shipped the same day that they get it.

So not only are they great tables. The customer service just blew me away, so much so that I had to post this. If you don't own an insTand table, you should check into it. I love them because they are lightweight workhorses. They also have what I call a "low profile" meaning that they don't draw attention to themselves. When I'm performing the chop cup all I have is a close-up mat on it and when the final loads appear people are stunned because there's no clue as to where they are coming from. Definitely not from under the thin table top.

A table and top will run you a little over a hundred buck to maybe a hundred and a half. Don't balk at the price. These tables will serve you well.

You can check out the insTand here: http://www.instand.com/

If you need a close-up mat to fit, check out Pattrick's mats, he either has one to fit or can make one to fit - http://www.pattricksmagic.com/

I have one of these Dan. They are excellent. When disassembled, they take up very little space and weigh in at practically nothing. Great item.
