It’s a good set and worth spending time with. The effects he explains are OK... may not his best but it is still awesome stuff ... but his explanations and details BEYOND the explanations are phenomenal. Forget about the methods, learn the stagecraft and presentation structures that really show Max’s genius

As with de Matos ‘ other DVD sets, the personal interviews spread out over the four disks are informative and wonderful. The set also includes a little audio “lecture” which reminded me of Max’s monthly commentaries in Genii magazine. A short documentary is also included.

You will absolutely feel you know Max Maven after watching the set. And you will marvel over the high level of quality he has produced over many many years.

I agree wholeheartedly. As far as effects go, I think his Videomind series has much better work, but this is not valuable because of the effects. It's in the thinking behind those effects where the value comes in. It is pricey, but it's a great collection of our Maven's thoughts on performance.
