Hi Harry, I recently purchased an effect by Joshua Jay called, "Out of Sight". In the instructional video, he mentions that this was inspired by ideas by John Lovick, Bob Hummer and an effect of yours that ends with the deck being show to be all jokers. What trick is that and where was it published? Thanks! Rudy

Ya' got me, Rudy. Darned if anything like that comes to mind. Interesting - when Joshua did that on TV some magic friends asked if I could work out a way to do that basic effect "impromptuly" - that is, with a shuffled, regular, deck just handed to you. Since I love challenges I did come up with a "way." That was quite some months ago. Anyway, I called it In-Sight and sent it to Genii Magazine (because I owed Richard something). I think it will be in the January issue of Genii.

Wow!! I look forward to reading it! Thanks Harry. Maybe someone else is familiar with the trick with the jokers. I'll go through my books to see if I can find it. Rudy

Look forward to reading that too. I do remember relatively recently reading an effect of yours where you mention the Josh Jay trick. Not near my library right now. Will have a look through when I get home. Doc Eason’s ‘Impossible Opener’ in his Lecture on Reel Magic Magazine On Demand Plus section is an effect that sounds similar. Worth a look Rudy.

Thanks Gareth! I’ll check it out now. By the way, I read Harry’s “In Sight” and thinks that it’s a fantastic set up for his HaLo Aces. I’m so glad to see that Harry’s still churning out magic! Rudy
