Here's a link to a site showing many beautiful magic posters from the past. Thought it might be of interest to some members.

There is a Carter The Great poster that is in a second hand store in the next city south of here. I don't know if it's a reproduction or an original from his time period.

I will check into it. Thanks Mike for starting this thread.

I forgot to mention, that the poster is hanging on the wall of the thrift store. So I asked one of the cashiers if I could buy the poster. She went and got the mgr. The manager told me that she would have to ask the owner, so I gave her one of my magic business cards as the owner wasn't there.

The condition of the poster is in average shape. I can't tell if it's an original or not. I am not going to spend more then $10 on it.

Anyone know what an original poster like this could be worth ?

I think the value of an original could easily be in the thousands.

I went to Norm Nielson's website, and the reproductions of the Carter The Great posters were going for $100 to $150, so will see what happens.
