Tenkai Pennies is the first real magic trick I ever learned to do. I say "real" because it was the first thing that got honestly baffled and delighted reactions - like it was real magic. Even a very experienced magician (with a Magic Castle gig and everything[smile]) didn't know how I did it after I showed him at my first SAM meeting 4 months down my magic road.

So here it is in all its shortness[smile].

Ken

BTW, I altered it slightly from the original - getting rid of the sliding of the coin up to the fingertips.

Thanks guys! James - I appreciate that you noticed:-). Yes, I think the pointing transfer is far superior to the original method. If anyone is interested, I learned it from a couple of places - primarily Jay Sankey's stuff. But Kozmo also does it very well, and has it on his At The Table lecture. H doesn't go into a lot of detail on the handling though.

Anyway, thanks again!

Ken – you do that very well. It looks great.

For historic purposes, this trick appears in the November 1950 issue of Hugard’s Magic Monthly by Martin Gardner and he says:

“This beautiful impromptu coin effect was first shown to me by Sol Stone of Brooklyn who in turn was taught the trick by Edmund Balducci, a fellow Brooklynite.”
