Be on the lookout for Patrick Redford's latest - "Temporarily Out of Order."

Patrick has created a stack that has SO many properties. You can get there from new deck order. You can get there from Si Stebbins. You can go from Stebbins to Redford and more.

And, there are tons of built in properties that lead to self working or mostly self-working routines. There's a killer matching routine that's WTPOTB.

It should be available very soon.

Coincidentally the book arrived in the mail today. It is beautifully produced. I'll post a photo later. I have already read the entire book in order to write the foreword. It should be available very soon if not already.

Hi Mike,

Are the effects stack dependent?

I'm looking forward to the new book from Woody Aragon. It's all about his work on the memorized deck.

Many of the effects (if not most) are stack independent.

Woody had the new book at 4F this year. Looks very good. I'll be picking it up soon.

Mike, do you use any stacked/memorized deck?

If so, would you change to the Redford stack? Or maybe combine it with the other stack you use?

I know it is a difficult question... I am asking because I read the characteristics Patrick posted on Facebook and there are some interesting things you can do to get into/out of the Redford stack.

And Thanks for your answer.

I didn't manage to get one of the copies Woody had with him at 4F but I just got it in the mail from Browser's Den.  I've only read the first chapter but I am very very impressed.  Woody is a smart man.

I've seen mixed reviews on Woody's book. I haven't picked it up yet, so I have no personal opinion.

I spent a lot of time learning the Aronson stack. I don't plan on memorizing another one. If I didn't have that work in, I'd go for Patrick's stack because of it's many cool features. But there's plenty of stuff that's stack independent in the book. Also stuff on mirror stack and Stebbins which I use.

Woody has two stacks. One of them is a variation of the si stebbins and the other is one of his own. I think in his last book used the tamariz stack.
One question. Is the book of Redford like the other? because I always love how is made with his comic style

I have just started reading the book about the Redford Stack and to me it is a serious treatise about that stack and I think it has a completely different style to Applesauce (those are the only books I have by Redford), if that is what you mean,  IGPDA.

The book is great but what really blows me away is the accompanying Facebook group where many of the routines are demoed and where he even provides additional material. The value is unbelievable. I've spent a lot of time ingraining Aronson (which I will continue to use) but I've memorized Redford's stack and will keep hammering it in - there is just too much value to pass it up. Many thanks Patrick!
