I love working with pendulums. Something recently that I have been playing around with is using the 22 major arcana of the WRS Tarot deck in a routine in which a participant holds a pendulum. It's the Everlasting Pendulum Trick which can be found in Brad Henderson's book The Dance. I've just learned it and need more practice, but it rocks!

Moreover I do Blair Robertson's Power Pendulum Presentation. It's great! I re-wrote the script so it would fit ME (so to speak). This never fails to entertain a group of people or just one-on-one.

Blair tipped this on a private mentalist message board that I was a member of and IMHO this routine kinda got lost in the shuffle. I sent Rudy a copy of it (my version of it ) and I wish I could post it on here on TMF, but I can't because it isn't mine, it's Blair's. So anyway.

Do you guys use a pendulum?
What routines do you do?
Do you use a mystical approach? I do..but a psychological one is good too..

I have many pendulums and am always on the hunt for good effects. Also, many existing effects can be enhanced with the use of the pendulum. Bob Cassidy has a beauty in print. Thanks for starting this thread.

magicfish,

Hi, how are you doing! I am glad I am not the only one in this thread.

I'll start out asking what type of approach do you do? A mystical one or a scientific one? Both approachs work. I use a mystical one to add a little drama to the effect.

Since I may be away from Wifi access for a while I would like to give you some information that has really been a help to me in my tarot, palmistry & pendulum work.

And that's called getting " a buy-in " it's by a guy named Brother Shadow as it was called on the above script using a pendulum.

A buy in is that you get the sitter to buy into your concept that your going to experience " something weird " "and you'll remember it all your life". This is done before the reading takes place. So, you get agreement from the sitter on what your about to say to them, before you even pull the pendulum out. This is powerful stuff, man.

Also, on the pendulum script you get the sitter to "buy-into" your patter by getting the sitter to think of a serious question and "not a silly question to test me." This is done before the reading starts.

If you do readings or aim to do them, the concept of the buy-in is key to having control of the reading at the out-sit. I hope that this will help you if you aim to do readings, you need to get your sitter to buy-into what you want them to buy into.

My Blair Robertson pendulum script isn't for sale, but like I said, i'll be away from the internet for a while.

Best,
