Do you know some effects that could be done with a bunch of small coins on a table?

You can have the bunch of coins on the table and take one and show it at the tip of your fingers. Then say something, like "it is too small" or something to give you an excuse to put it back on top of the bunch. Then pretend to take another coin but don't take anything. Pretend to put it in your other hand, close it, do your magic thing and the coin disappears! The illusion is better if the bunch of coins consists of several coins that are the same so when you pretend to take one, the "taken" coin blends together with the other ones. If you only have one coin of a certain denomination and you pretend to take it, but the coin is still there when you pretend to have it in your hand, your spectators will get what is happening. I hope it is clear...

Andrea, I am not certain from your description what you are asking. Can you clarify? Also, I started this thread recently . There may be one or two items that meet your requirements. Av

Depends what you mean by 'small coins'. Suffice to say that with the aid of a Thumb Tip, you are only limited by your own imagination. Just to add that the Vernet Soft TT's are very good for this purpose, as they are made from a soft, plastic vinyl.

I think it was Steve Dusheck who had an item which consisted of a small pile of maybe twenty to thirty coins, mostly small i.e. dimes, pennies and nickels. The coins were glued together on a piece of cloth so the pile was essentially one thing. It was on a pull or something like a pull. So you could vanish a handful of coins! Very cool idea. Mike

I think that idea Mike originally came about via Al Koran in the 1950's; who used a thread-style pull to ditch a stack of (hollowed) old UK Pennies at the completion of a cap (or matchbox tray!) and pence routine. Wow......Steve Dusheck - certainly, a very creative guy. Around 1980, I seem to remember that Supreme Magic had the UK Rights to his marketed effects. Whilst they were generally dependent upon gimmicks/props (so not my style) I could really appreciate the thinking behind them.

Yes Anthony there are few effects in your thread, thanks for the hint, i got a lot of ideas! My idea is, in a formal close up situation, to put a bunch of old half pennies or other coins and perform some effects, no sleight or gimmicks, like: Jim Steinmeyer's "Bermuda Triangle" - Liver's Pennies Matt Baker - Hive Mind"The sheep, the shepherd and the thieves" But also could be puzzles like some of richard wiseman, etc.
