Hi fellas, I just want to let you know about a really cool effect that I read in a spiral-bound book by Mike Powers, that he gave to me as a gift (Thanks Mike!!). First of all, I want to say that it’s a fantastic book! I especially enjoyed his version of the 21 card trick “Invisible 21” that uses his PM Principle, as well as a trick called “Finders Keepers” that also uses that same principle to locate a spectators selection (This is one of those tricks that would fool magicians and entertain lay audiences). His “Invisible Card” routine (using the PM Principle) is excellent too.

The reason that I bring up “Three-Peat Deceit”, is that I was able to try it out on my wife last night, as we enjoyed a night out on the town, and it fooled the heck out of her! And this was just Marty Kane’s original handling! I’ve never heard of the “bottom to top principle” before, so when I was working through the explanation of the handling, I was happily surprised when my card was on the top (don’t you love that feeling?!)

Well, Mike has created a version that involves three spectators. I can’t wait to try it. I think that it would be three times as Power-ful.

Mike, you are so incredibly creative in your approach to magic. We’re so lucky to have you here and I’m truly blessed to count you as a friend.

If any of you would like to purchase this book, visit Mike’s website: http://www.mallofmagic.com

Hi Wayne,

Sorry, maybe that wasn’t clear from the subject title of this post.

It’s called, “Create Magic-Mystery-Fun”.

Your post was clear but I cannot find that book Create-Magic Mystery Fun at http://www.mallofmagic.com

I'm sure I tried every link, perhaps someone with younger eyes than mine can hold my hand point it out.

Hmm...I can’t find it either. I’ll check with Mike to see where to find it.

I hope that you’re having a great weekend!

I might be wrong but is Three-Peat Deceit similar to the "do this at home" effect you did on your lecture for the forum in 2016? I think that used the bottom to top principle. It is one of those tricks that make the magician smile while performing.

You also covered the Invisible Card trick (I use this very often, it is killer) and Invisible 21 Cardtrick on the lecture too.

All three are incredible.

Thanks Mike

Do you need us to mention this thread when we order, or just send it over with the title as subject?

Thanks!

No need to mention the thread. So there's no ambiguity, you might mention the Creativity notes + DVD.

It's $20 by paypal to mpowers@mallofmagic.com - you get the fully illustrated notes and DVD postpaid in the USA.
