One of our members (Joe) asked that I post this in remembrance of Daryl.
Hard to believe that its already been a year.

Great, now I'm depressed...

Nah, not really. Saddened to realize it has been a year already though.

Thanks for the reminder that every day matters.

I was fortunate to see Daryl lecture many times, and once my wife and I ran into him and his wife in a small restaurant away from the crowds.  Very nice man, so creative, talented and generous.  Still can’t comprehend how he could have been so unhappy.

It's harder to believe it's been 3 years already ... or 1095 days without Daryl...

RIP DARYL...

Yes, for some reason he's been on my mind a lot lately.

Yesterday I actually had a couple of his videos in my hand, with the intention of watching them, but I got distracted ...

Daryl was one in a million.

Daryl was a true magic encyclopedia. And not just cards but coins, cups, ropes, you name it. A lot of talent packed into one man.

I watched some Youtube videos of the Blackpool convention and it was truly depressing. There seemed to be a plethora of flourish wankers juggling cards--no magic, nothing impossible, just card juggling, usually involving a production of the four aces or some sort of labyrinthian cutting sequence. Boring, boring, boring. Then I came across several Youtube videos of Daryl: it was refreshing to see MAGIC by a MAGICIAN. Do you think any of the flourish wankers ever got a standing ovation at the end of those silly moves? I doubt it, but Daryl gets one at the end of his Ambitious Card Routine. And this is not a setup: I saw him perform the same routine for a group of real laymen in a bar and he got the same reaction.
