Intersting idea Jack.  Do you have any video of you performing this?  Even if it's rough.  I'm trying to visualize all the actions.  It feels like a lot of shuffling, thats why I wanted to see a performance of it.  Not quite over-proving the cards are mixed, but kind of feels like it.  Does that make sense?

Does the joker need to be in the box from the beginning, or could it be openly removed from the deck and placed on the table before the shuffling and cutting starts (no need to call attention to it, just remove it).  Then go back it when you need to add it to the deck.

Just initial thoughts.

Tom

As described, locating the selection seems impossible. I can think of several methods to accomplish the stated effect, but your description has me baffled. Like Tom, I, too, wonder about all the mixing. Is there a reason for it connected to the method? If not, you might consider eliminating some of the shuffles, cuts, and mixes. Also, I agree with Tom that a video might help conceptualize the effect, if that's something you are able to provide.

Thanks!
