Hello everyone,

I was reworking on these two tricks from the "Royal Road...", and I've always wondered if there was any more work done on these tricks that I can look into.  I like the tricks, but I would like to see if there was any other way to do them by using maybe a stack.  When I try to use a stack, it becomes close to impossible to use it to then later find the cards.

I was wondering if there was any "good stuff" [wink] written on this topic?  Any DVDs?  Anyone talk about it on Reel Magic Magazine?

Thanks for all your help

As far as using a stack, I guess the answer is when you begin with all of one suit together that is a stack.  Or at least a set-up.

Any time you can know the order of cards well enough to detect when one is out of place, then you can duplicate the effect of "An Instinct for Cards".

Another ruse I learned long ago (unattributed) is to have the suit together and have a card selected.  Cut the suited cards to the center and then spread to have the card returned.  Make certain the spectator replaces the card into the slug.  Easy Peasy.

While you cannot do a face-up spread for obvious reasons, you simply spread them faces towards yourself to see the card.
