I had never heard of this until you mentioned it, Tom. For anyone who’s interested, here’s the link to some more information about it:

Would love to see any kind of video of the material if I'm spending $45!

Exactly Rick.  Much less you have to download a program/app (Revizzit, which I don't like) to view it.  Doesn't seem like you actually own it.

I agree Tom. One of my faults is that if I pay for something, I want tangible proof. I'm 60 in a couple of weeks, and I have a real challenge with downloads, and YouTube videos being something that I have paid for.

Of course, I'm the same way about gaming. Table top is A-OK, video games are a no.

I rue the day when magic evolves to the point of being only a virtual experience instead of an actual, physical and tactile one.

Agreed.  There's nothing like seeing a lecture in person.  I am going to the Genii Convention, should be excellent, but still have to witness some of it on big screen.  My first ever convention was Don Alan, Derek Dingle, Frank Garcia, got to see their close up, up close and personal.  Saw Don Alan's whole close up show from 3' away.  Along with Derek's and Franks.

While installing Revizzit isn't tough, it's unnecessary.  For $45 I want to know what I'm buying and actually own it.  I have nothing against Jonathan, maybe just his marketing.

I suspect Jonathan Levit's name will sell it to many.
I'm not a fan of Revizzit either, which has copy protections that badly limit the honest user but probably don't inhibit the copiers.
I told John Carney the same about his seasnons set that he initially sold that way.

There is a bit more info here, including a short video with the authors talking about it:

Thanks Alexander, I've seen that video, doesn't say much and no idea what the routine looks like other than the written hype.  Trouble with Revizzit is I don't feel like I own the product. If Revizzit goes bust, then what?
I'll be attending the Genii Convention next week and Robert Ramirez will be there, I wrote to him and he will show me Four Squared. Be really interested to see what it looks like.

I have bought some video downloads from Vanishing Inc. and a few years ago I had to wait for the video to be processed (with my name embedded, visible on screen). That was done in order to avoid piracy. But recently they have stopped doing that and now you get "your" videos without your name visible on screen. I guess they figured they can trust their customers or it was not cost effective to do that. I guess these guys use of Revizzit is done with the same purpose, to avoid piracy and maybe they will stop using it in the future if they figure out a better way to avoid piracy.

Since I started this...   I saw Rob Ramirez at the Genii Convention and he was more than accommodating.  He somewhat tipped the working, and there is a fairly knacky move involved.  Rob showed all 3 phases and they were good and interesting, but I'm just not sure a spectator would be all that impressed, IE an effect aimed more at a magician?
