In looking for a HB version of Bobo's Coin Magic I've come across two different titles:

Bobo's Coin Magic and The New Bobo's Coin Magic.

Can anyone tell me the difference?

I have a hardback original (C) 1952 of Modern Coin Magic. This is the original, not the expanded book. The price is $20 delivered in the continental USA.

Ok, I have the New Modern Coin Magic as a hardback from 1978 as a fourth printing, first printing is from 1966.

I still haven´t found my Modern Coin Magic book but I am quite sure it is a Dover Reprint...but it is also softback...the New Modern Coin Magic is HB and from Magic Inc. Chicago.

Oh I am a very strange yet endearing character. I'm trying to build a magic library from scratch. However most of the Card books I considered valuable are now very, very difficult to find so it will take a good deal of time and budgeting. I'll post a list eventually.

I'm only looking for three coin books: The New Bobo's Coin Magic, David Roth's Expert Coin Magic and Coin Magic by Kaufmann. I figure that would be fairly good coverage for coins, no? And if you REALLY want a surprise here's something you may not know: I have a unique Sponge Ball routine that absolutely KILLS!

Indeed, Steven. Those three books will be a beautiful coverage for coins. My opinion, of course. I'm just a hobbyist, but feel strongly about those three books. Back when I started in SOH, VHS tape instructionals were a brand new medium for magical learning. Those three books were my foundational texts for techniques and effects. One other to consider (and yes it is another pricey one) is Principles and Deceptions by Arthur Buckley.

I am a big fan of the sponge balls.  Would love to see it!

Steven Youell with spongeballs and coins warped the universe as the first time I saw David Roth pick up a deck of cards and kill us in his workshop.

I have not physically been able to compare the original Bobo with the New edition. I did own an original but a HS magic friend (I no longer have contact with) just had to have one. There were none available at the time and he was very interested in coin magic. But as I recall the one thing missing, despite all the new additions, were much more on gaffed coins and their varied construction and uses. But these are just my memories of a book I have not seen in many decades. So my memories may be faulty. I have owned the new Modern Coin Magic edition for decades, but the first thing I looked for when I got it was that section, but could not find it. That memory was fresher at the time, so likely real. I would think.
