I'm whittling down my collection, and find that as I do so, there are a number of books that are great, but which have no special meaning to me; the books I'm keeping have been signed to me, or contain effects that have gone into my repertoire over the years.

Accordingly, these other books are up for grabs.  Prices do not include media mail postage here in the continental US.  Please contact me directly if you're interested.

  • Dai Vernon's Tribute to Nate Leipzig (Ganson), $150:  the book is generically signed by Vernon, and comes in a Mylar wrap.  The dust cover shows signs of wear, but the book is in solid condition.
  • The Annotated Erdnase (Ortiz), $35; 2nd edition, 1996.  It's in a Mylar wrap, and in great condition.
  • Stewart James in Print, The First Fifty Years, $450, signed #40/200.  It's missing the dust cover, but the book is in pristine condition.
  • Hilliard's Card Magic (Jones), $80, 1st edition, 1945.  The dust jacket has a slight tear and some pieces are missing around the edge.  There's also a bit of a stain on the back of the jacket, but the book itself is in solid condition.  The book belonged to Lee Jacobs, who had a full-page ad on the back of the dust jacket.
  • Scarne on Cards/Scarne on Card Tricks, $40, 1965, 1952.  You can get these books in paperback or PDF for far cheaper, but having the hardback versions is simply very cool.
  • La Magie des Cartes (Pradier), $40, 2009.  Hardback, out of print.

Oh, and while we're at it...how about the entiire six DVD set of Annemann's Practical Mental Effects, performed by Richard Osterlind.   Vanishing Inc. sells the set for $180; I'll let the bunch go for $120 plus postage.  Volume 1 has been opened; the other five discs are still sealed.
