Going over some old tricks I like from some DVD's One of them is Chop Shop on Fractalicious
by John Bannon. On the DVD he uses 4 aces to climax the trick. I was wondering if instead of ending with the 4 aces would it be okay to finish with the red card being the queen of spades so you did sneak it back in twice and then finish by saying I also switched in the other three queen. If you know the trick or have the DVD what do you think of this idea.

It is also written up in Lucky, his latest set of bound lecture notes. I've read through the trick, and actually like it based on the description, but haven't yet made up the cards and tried it. I did go back a reread the trick after seeing your post and I fail to see how you produce the other three Queens? Perhaps I misunderstand? It's possible.

Just replace the aces with the queens aces of spades has a red back the others blue.My reasoning is you said you would make it come back twice and you did then switched in the other 3 queens. I did see a video of that was different I'll have to go find my copy of Lucky and see if it's different from the DVD version.

Okay found Lucky same trick same version. How ever in the book Mr Bannon explains why the trick is setup the way it is and that seems to make sense to me so many I should just leave it alone and do it the way he does.Found a couple of videos of it and they changed a couple of things but it plays just as good as is.

Paul, I could not find a vid of John or Cameron - who is credited as a co-creator - performing the trick. None of the vids I found were of the trick as written. This one offers a decent idea of what it should look like:

Mr Bannon credits Cameron Francis for the idea from his trick called Chopped Monty.Mr. Francis is on the DVD with Mr. Bannon Someone said Cup Cards by Will Grey and Tao uses the same theme except it uses special cards that look like cups and balls. There is another Video that shows how it looks on Mr. Bannon's DVD but not sure of the language
Hope the link works

Thank you, Anthony and Diemaker for the clips. I didn't get Fractalicious because I already had most of the other effects in print so hadn't seem Chop Shop. Nice quickie. Since the Will Grey effect was mentioned, here's a clip below. I think it has more entertainment potential. I was tempted but think $30 is far too much for a packet trick that will wear out pretty quickly if you actually use it rather than leave it in a drawer [smile]
