New table~
The Compleat Invocation Tony Andruzzi~

I'd like:

 - Longer fingers or narrower cards
 - Family that will always watch and like my card tricks
 - Free beer (or magically refilling beer glass)
 - Harry Lorayne to come to my house for supper
 - Refund for my purchase of PASS
 - Any good magic book or DVD

Merry Christmas everyone!

Dear Santa

I would like an extra hour every day so I can catch up on all the unread magic books on my shelf!

In PASSing I have no idea what PASS is. Or maybe I have, but I've just forgotten.

Self refilling beer glass would be nice for guests that do drink.[smile]

PASS was a trick I bought (coin go through card and clear envelope) I now think it's one of those tricks better on video than real life. It's noisy and my gadget broke after only a few hours of playing with it. Some might like it but it was a waste for me. [mad]

I'd also like to add to my list and order a wife that likes magic books like you have. I didn't know they came like that, mine seems to be missing that option.[biggrin]

Oh, my goodness!

I totally didn't expect that...holy smokes. That's an unbelievable amount of stuff!

I don't go to the lectures because I don't have either a credit card or Paypal.

Wow! I don't know what to say?!

Thank you very much!

Logan/Rick

I think I've got a guess on what Santa Rudy will be getting Logan from his list.

Once again, Rudy demonstrates what a class act he is and it shows through the content and helpfulness of the people on the forum.

My Christmas wish is for it all to continue.

Spoiler Alert is excellent. The Tamariz set intrigues me, but being a book guy I rarely go back and re-watch DVDs, so they make a poor investment for me. Great review in the latest Genii. Please let us know what you think.

Mike! That's awesome!

That Juan Tamariz DVD set is on my Christmas list, too.

Merry Christmas!

Not really part of the topic, but kind of related.

I saw some meme earlier in December claiming that Santa was the original mentalist: He can divide children up by whether they were naughty or nice, and he knows what they want for Christmas.

So I started using it as a justification for Acidus Novus, I write "Santa, I would like:" on the card to ensure they write in the correct place.
I then take the folded card back, and pointed at the front where I request they write whether or not they were naughty or nice this year. After they write that I get them to fold the card again with that on the inside.

I didn't know whether or not they were naughty or nice, but since I mostly perform for people I know, I just played with them a bit and usually accused them of being naughty this year, "You've been far too naughty this year, but perhaps Santa will still bring you xyz anyway!"

More than anything, I wish Santa could teach me how to practice effectively. I feel like I am often so overwhelmed by the breadth of material available to me that I end up not becoming really great at anything, but rather just good or okay at many things. I am cursed with the magician’s habit of moving from one exciting, new thing to the other. I feel that if I could improve my practice game I would feel far more confident in my performances and I could represent magic in a better, more artistic way. If any of you have tips on this subject or resources that I should check out, let me know!

Also, Mike, what a great selection of books and dvds! I have heard great things about Spoiler Alert. I have seen surprisingly little written about Artful Deceptions; I would be curious to hear your thoughts on it!
