I see there are quite a few people on many different forums asking where to buy decks of cards that come in a specific order.  There is no need to search and search for a deck that comes in your favorite stack.  Just go pick up a few decks of cards at your local walmart or where ever.  Carefully open the cellphane at the bottom of the deck.  Using a razor knife, slice through the glue at the bottom, remove the deck and stack it in your favorite stack.  Then simply put the cards back in, re glue to bottom flap and place a small dot of super glue on each folded cellphane fold and VIOLA!

I know its pretty obvious to some, but others may not have thought about it.  I know i have dozens of unopened decks laying around and if i wanted a new deck to be opened and already in stack order thats what i would do and it wouldnt cost me a dime.

I do this with the marked decks that I custom mark by hand.  Then I ship them out fully sealed.

I've also done this with a single card reversed, which could be used like a thought-of card routine.  A few times, I've used it with a stack.

The $5 Penguin marked deck comes in Mnemonica order. I’ve used it more than I thought I would.

I can't remember ever opening a deck in front of spectators where I might want them to believe it's in new deck order. For a formal show, I might use such a deck. But for most of the work I do e.g. restaurants, walk-around etc it's a non-issue.

I'm curious as to when people who would like these decks would use them?

I don't recall ever opening a deck of cards in front of a spectator.  For some of the work I do/did, the deck needed to be shuffled a bit and broken in before I felt it was ready.  YMMV.

Mike,
At my first 4F, I showed Tony Econ a little effect I'd developed which requires a stack of sorts.  The next year, he saw me and said, "I have something for you," and handed me a deck.  I thanked him for giving me a sealed deck of cards.  "Oh no," he said, "remember that trick you showed me last year?  The cards are stacked for you to do it."  "But," I said, "the deck's still sealed!"  He smiled (evilly, as I recall) and said, "I know."

Today, that deck...still sealed...is sitting in a shadow box on my wall, along with the 4S he signed to me in 2011.

Bill Malone has decks in Sam the Bellhop order.  I could see some merit to this.  Regardless, a few good false shuffles should eliminate any suspicion.

Great story about Tony Econ, Steve. He's the one that recommended me as Card Corner columnist for the Linking Ring. He had that job for many years. I've been doing it for over 13 years! Yikes.. I think Tony had the gig even longer, maybe 20 years.

With regard to the topic: Why not just do a good deck switch? There are many really easy and effective deck switches. Check Giobbi on this.
