Thanks!  This is AWESOME - truly inspirational!

Gives some insight as to why Bill Malone can handle a deck of cards the way he does. When Bill was 20, he was invited to become part of a round table that Marlo led every Saturday at The Palladium restaurant in Chicago. (I believe David Solomon, Steve Draun and Simon Aronson were part of that group, as well). Bill would arrive 45 minutes early to ensure he would be able to sit next to Marlo. When Marlo realized how intensely dedicated Bill was, the two started meeting every Wednesday at a Chicago restaurant called Tony's. Usually the sessions lasted around  six hours, but at times they would go as long as 16 hours!

Mike, thank you for sharing.  There are no perfect words to describe what Mr. Marlo is doing.  It is awesome and inspirational and everything else that has been said.

Great depiction of a person who did so much for magic.

Mike - thanks for editing and sharing this video -- Marlo was/is amazing to watch -- very inspirational for us "mortals"; even with tremendous practice it's hard to imagine anyone being that good with cards!  Thanks again!

I met Ed in 1978. My copy of "The Unexpected Card Book" is autographed "Copy #204 To Michael Powers 'May you find some unexpected miracles you can use'" Ed Marlo Nov-18-1978.

The story of my meeting Ed is pretty interesting. Might be a fun topic at the next on-line session.

At that time the Marlo table was at a German restaurant not too far from Magic Inc. The name eludes me right now. The typical group would be Marlo, Simon Aronson, Dave Solomon, Steve Draun, Jack Pyle, Frank Shank, Bill Malone, Randy Wakeman. Less regular would include me, Don England, Kevin Kelly, Armando Gutierez and some others. I'd go up about once a month. When Ed died, it was the end of an era. Simon, Dave and now John Bannon and a couple of others have kept up the tradition.

Thank you Mike. The most exquisite piece of art I've ever seen. Not 'the art' but art.

Mike, is there another part to the video? It cuts off during that trick. Just wondering if there is more footage of the master?

I'll check to see if the video was corrupted. I think it's intact. Let me look.

Lorayne, Marlo, Vernon, Elmsley. It's these guys who started so many loving card magic, and also all their books are among the best ever written.
