Hi Everyone,

I sent out an email earlier today about an online lecture that Frank Zak is going to do for us next Saturday, June 22 at 2pm (Pacific). Unfortunately, we are once again having technical issues with the email system so the message is stuck in limbo.

You may remember that I posted a video of me performing one of Frank’s effects called, “Image Maker”. If not, here it is:

Frank is a great guy and a talented magician who knows what constitutes entertaining and wonder-inspiring magic.

The cost for attending his online lecture is just five bucks and includes access to the downloadable recording of the lecture.

Please send payment to Frank via PayPal to imagic@cox.net

Once you do that you’ll be sent the invitation to our Zoom video conference call.

I hope that you’ll join us. See you then!

Rudy

To all the recent arrivals - the TMF Lectures are incredible - and an incredible bargain.  Ranging from $5 to $10, they are worth many times the price.

If you can't be there for the live lecture, Rudy arranges for each lecture to be recorded and posted so you can watch it later, and watch it as many times as you like.

Yes, this will be recorded and the link to the downloadable video will be sent to all who register.

Thank you for supporting our online lectures!

Rudy

Frank Zak is the real deal!

He spent years in the trenches. Fortunately, most of those trenches were well-stocked with every kind of alcohol imaginable.

Bars are loud, spectators are buzzed and raucous… If there is a more treacherous proving ground for a magician… I haven’t found it.

While Frank’s career has taken him to more hospitable venues… he mastered the toughest one.

For those practitioners looking for direct, delightful, bulletproof effects that can withstand the cruel environment of the saloon, Frank Zak is the MAN!

That was a great lecture!  I love asymmetric transpositions and that 4 Kings routine is a really good one.   I thought the opening dice routine was excellent too.  Put it together with Michael Breggar's Another Day in Para-dice and the Sacks dice routine and you've got an entire act.

It was really interesting to hear Frank's recollections of the old days at the Forks Hotel in Buffalo - such a nexus in the history of close-up.

I missed some stuff in the middle because I was cooking dinner ... but I can't wait to watch the full recording (which you can still purchase even if you didn't sign up before).

Frank and Rudy, thanks for this!

Yes it was a great time. The thing about the dice routine is that you can use any objects that fit in your hand. Sponge balls, small rubber balls, coins or what I use, nuts. I was taught the same basic routine that Frank showed by Harry Monti. He used hexagonal nuts. His were chrome plated, I use stainless steel. You can use 1/2" or 3/4 nuts for the main part of the routine and if you want, you can ring in a large nut as a climax. I liked Frank's patter to explain why 3 was a problem. The card items were good. I can see he value in them as "workers".

Thank you Frank. I’ve just watched the recording having missed it live. I loved the shot glass routine. Superb. Incredible jawdroppers every item. If you’ve not purchased this lecture do ya self a favour! Thanks again Frank and Rudy.

I'm 30 minutes in and I really like his card control to the top and secretly getting a key card using that move. Looking forward to watching the rest.

Rudy I really  enjoyed the Frank Zak lecture. There are some really excellent effects. I wish I could have watched it live, unfortunately the timing didn't suit. Look forward to the next one.

I, too, was unable to watch live, in my case due to rural internet issues. I'll be digging in later this evening and look forward to the lecture thanks to all of the positive comments.

I just had occasion to re-watch this lecture.  It really is full of practical, audience-tested material.  And there is so much to learn about routining and misdirection and timing from watching Mr. Zak perform.
