Gary is great. I think he went into mentalism and doesn't work for magicians any longer. I met him in the 1980s at 4F. He was about 20 year old. He said that he wanted to show me something and sat on my left with a close up pad on his knees. He put four silver coins on the pad and then changed them one by one to English pennies, all shown on both sides. Then all four coins suddenly changed into Chinese coins! WTF!! He had held out four Chinese coins somewhere throughout the other changes. I'm not sure what he did. But it definitely blew my mind.

I have hung out with him a few times. He's definitely one of the best technicians around. At least he used to be. Not sure what he's doing besides mentalism these days.

Both Gary and Jay Sankey contributed items to my first book, Powerful Magic (1983). I believe Gary was born in 1961, so he was 22 at the time. Unfortunately, the item he contributed turned out later to have been an idea of Mike Gallo. Ouch!

I worked the Atlanta Harvest of Magic with Gary long ago and got to know him pretty well. Also got to see him perform in an informal setting at a party during the convention. He is great!
