I recently noticed I was having trouble doing good faros, (missing a card or two) very frustrating when essential to a trick, so I blamed the cards and then my lack of skill etc.

Just got back from the Eye Doc and found out I cataracts in both eyes, lens replacement surgery scheduled for later this summer.

In the mean time I should stop complaining as I imagine Richard Turner doesn't see his faros and seems to make do. [rofl]

My sister and I always wanted cataracts. But since our dad worked for Ford... [wink]

Doing a faro while driving is really hard [rofl].

Maybe I will ask the doc if he can give me a special lens to pick up hidden marks or zoom in when I need to faro.

This exact thing happened to me, right down to the trouble with Faros.
Glad you can get the surgeries done. I was blind in one eye before someone
helped me get the surgeries done at a lower price than normal.

Sorry to hear about the cataracts, Wayne, but the surgery these days is supposed to be excellent.

I have heard the same. I know a few people that have had it done with no problems and great results. Apparently the actual procedure is only about 10 minutes per eye, it takes longer to drive to the hospital and find a parking spot. My wife has will be driving that and that scares me more than the surgery![crazy]

Thanks to everyone for the best wishes both public and private. I'm not worried at all, as Bill says, the surgery today is very good and quick.
