Hi,

I'm Livaudais, thanks for having me.

Let's see, something about myself . . . many moons ago as a kid I subscribed to a magazine called Famous Monsters of FilmLand. The publisher was a guy named Forrest J. Ackerman, who passed away recently.

So there is that.

Oh, I have a strong interest in Statistics and Probability mathematics.

I've taken great inspiration over the years from Tommy Wonder, Eugene Burger, Harry Lorayne, David Roth, Allan Ackerman, Fred Kaps, Bill Malone and of course the obvious (Marlo, Vernon, Houdini etc.) and the like.

I do mostly close-up work and recently began experimenting with mentalism a bit more broadly in my routines. I've also ventured into the creation of gaff cards, however, my creations are still very crude and rudimentary. I had the pleasure of speaking with card gaff Craftsman Jeremy Hanrahan (most known for his Hofzinser Card Gaffs) several years back, unfortunately, I wasn't into creating gaff cards of my own during that time! Drats!

I do apologize for such a short introduction, but I hope you'll understand that I am currently nursing a cold and I desire to stick my raw nose into the ice-box while I practice a new move I am working on that I've called: the Bounce, Boogie and Bump.

Looking forward to conversing with you all and I hope to bring something of value to the forum.

Warm regards,

L.

Postscript: I'm currently reading Harry Lorayne's: Ageless Memory (The Memory Expert's Prescription To A Razor-Sharp Mind) but I've forgotten what page I left off on...

When I was about ten, I back ordered about twenty issues of Famous Monsters. Wow, was I over the moon when those arrived. I was a big fan of the Warren mags in general - e.g. Creepy, Eerie. At the time I had visions of being a special effects make-up artist but life took me down a very different road.

Welcome to the forum and I hope you conquer that cold.

Sean

Hi, Sean!

I thought about getting into SFX makeup myself. I think watching Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video inspired that. Haha

Thanks a bunch!
