Hi Everyone, My name is David, I am from England.

I have been interested in Magic for around 17 years. Card Magic is my favorite. The way I think about Magic quite often changes, but one thing that has always stayed the same for me is the type of Magic I enjoy/want to perform. That type of Magic is Amazing & Powerful Magic, it's also very important for me the Magic looks very clean.

The Double Lift is my favorite move and the one I practice the most. I like Color changes a lot. I used to perform a lot of visual Magic when I was younger, but not as much these days. I'm very Interested in the Theory of Magic these days and have been Studying Darwin Ortiz Designing Miracles.

My favorite Tricks to perform are the Classic 2 Card Transposition, Out Of This World, Card In Bottle, Card To Mouth using the James/Ellis Load move, just to name a few!

Looking forward to discussing Card Magic and Magic in General [smile]

Thanks

David

Welcome David!

I think my all time favorite move in all of card magic is my side steal color change, its one of those things I practice all the time just because it looks so stinkin cool haha. I've also been getting into a lot of theory lately too, have you checked out the Discourse in Magic podcast? If not, I would definitely recommend it.

Also, if you haven't seen already, we just recently had a two day online event last weekend with a lot of just absolutely great lectures, I think you would really enjoy the second lecture by Nicolas Pierri cause it was really in depth on the theory side. You can get check out the list of everything that went on here https://www.themagiciansforum.com/post/event-the-magicians-forum-live-10498581 It was all recorded, so if that's something that you would be interested in, it is 6 bucks and you can message Rudy for the details on how to get access to it all. There are also the Saturday Sessions where people can get together and jam, and we even have a couple of lectures coming up in the next couple of weeks as well! There is so much available here, you'll be pretty happy you joined, I have no doubt.

Looking forward to having you around!

Welcome, David! We're glad to have you here.

There's no session scheduled for tomorrow, as far as I know. Keep an eye on the forum for notices of when they're coming up. Occasionally, someone will open an informal, unscheduled session on the spur of the moment, so who knows? Maybe there will be one tomorrow.

Ah England. I've been there, not because I'd done anything wrong. It wasn't a punishment. I might go back one day, in April, perhaps. When the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough In England, now.

Welcome David.

My favourite move, if you can call it that is the Overhand Lift Shuffle.
