Hello, my name is Gregg Britton, and I've been interested in magic for a very long time.  I started with cards/coins in my teens and a lot of magic busking in the 80s.  I worked in a magic shop, past president of SAM Assembly #110, member of IBM Ring #20, and leader of Society of Young Magicians #75 in the 90s.   During that time, I thoroughly enjoyed teaching others and learning from magicians like Doc Eason, George Schindler, Marc DeSouza, and Steve Dusheck.  My most memorable magical experience was spending eight hours of one on one time in a Perkins restaurant during a snowstorm with Bob Fitch.  I made a career move to Florida in the late 90s, attend some local club meetings, and an occasional lecture or convention.  I am an avid magic collector, still enjoy performing with cards, and I'm currently working on learning the Mnemonica Stack.  Thank you for allowing me to join and I'm looking forward to being part of The Magicians Forum community.

Welcome aboard Gregg. You will have a great time here! Lots of great interaction with lots of great magicians from around the world!
Speaking of Mnemonica, do a search and you'll find lots of space devoted to mem decks; the Tamariz stack(s) and many more. The fabulous Harry Lorayne is a member and frequent contributor to the Forum. Harry puts on his memory expert hat to remind us of the the books and tools he has developed for memorization in the past and how to adopt and use them to memorize a card stack.

There is so much good stuff on this site!

Glad you found us Gregg.  Hope you have a great time here.  By the way, are you aware of the John Carey lecture tomorrow?  TMF hosts lectures and also Saturday Sessions where we gather on Zoom and share.

The Carey lecture is not free, but based on the list of things he's covering it is going to be a bargain.  And the session will be recorded so you can look at it later.

Hi Gregg, welcome to the group!

Take notice of RayJ's words - I think 5,99 GBP is an absolute bargain. I am looking forward to it tommorow night :-)
