Hi everyone, finally a few minutes to introduce myself. I began magic at 13 totally by accident, I had been ill and walking back from the hospital to the parents car I nipped into a joke shop never realising they had a magic shop, within minutes I was hooked. I spent my time entertaining residents at the local old people's home etc.
For me magic slowed slightly when I started work, then I met my incredible wife, a whirlwind romance we met in April, engaged in May and married the day after her 18th birthday in July of the same year, oh and parents found out about the marriage in the November but that's a whole different story lol. Children came along and magic slipped away. It wasn't until this year that my wife said why did you give up magic, I never realised that she loved my magic and as she put it I had amazed her. So magic I thank you for my wonderful wife we have been married 38 years now.
Well I'm back with magic I was very lucky to find some books and equipment local, even found the first ever magic book that I owned.
I'm enjoying it all now more than ever even though my fingers are taking a while to get subtle again but I work through that. Hope I've not bored anyone with a long intro

Welcome Steve!  Personally I love long introductions.  Gives us a kickstart in getting to know you.  This is the best forum online, in opinion and you are welcome here!

You'll learn more about TMF and the members over time, but make sure to look out for an participate in the various lectures and Saturday Sessions that we have.  You can participate by just hanging out with us or you can feel comfortable contributing a performance knowing we're going to be 100% supportive.  But at least come out and meet the rest of us.

Your story is shared by a lot of us, including me.  I was "all in" regarding magic at one point and then strayed far away for a long time.  The love was always there, just needed to be rekindled.  This forum keeps my interest up!

Welcome aboard, Steve. You’re intro was far from boring. Hope you enjoy your time here. 😉

Steve, welcome to the forum!

That was a charming story.

Let me tell you that one of the best things you have done after picking back magic is joining this great forum ^_^
