I'm trying to remember the name of the magician who is famous for his matrix with quarters. For $2000 he'll teach you the routine. He wears black and has a name that sounds Mexican if memory serves. I can picture him, but his name is eluding me.

That should be enough. What is this guy's name??

Armando is a good example of someone that has been able to keep some of his creations out of the public view.  I haven't seen his version of Matrix, but from what I've read it is stellar.  There are no videos of it so far as I know.  He used to do classes for small groups.  Perhaps the $1,000.00 was for the class and not just that trick?

For the big bucks you got lessons from Armando the way I understand it. I saw him at Magic Live and also at Fechters. Great routine.

I've seen a video of the routine, it's well done.

It's too rich for my blood. But then, as Borus Cilius, the 4th Century PC Utukkun philosopher put it:

"If it's expensive, it must be good."

Sometimes it is more fun to wonder about things. Sort of like the Dr. Hooker's rising cards. I've read so many stories about the impossibility of it all, so many breathless descriptions.

There has been so much comment on his Matrix that it seems to have taken on mythical status.

I wonder if I ever do see it will I be disappointed, will it not live up to the image in my mind?
