Hello everyone,

I want to buy a volume of a magic magazine, not unlike Apocalypse (which I own all collections!).

I’m thinking of something that is not available easily online such as The Jinx. I’d like it also to be physical. I’m thinking Ibidem, Trapdoor, or the New Jinx (this one is the cheapest and most likely). Preferably a magazine that already ended as opposed to ongoing.

Any recommendations, or opinions on the above?

I like Fulves’ The Chronicles. There were 36 issues packed with good stuff. I have the individual issues, but the book can still be found at a reasonable price.

Great choice! I've looked at some magic websites and the book seems out of print. It was selling at a very reasonable price so thats a shame .. [frown]

Mention of "Chronicles," which I have and like, the three volumes of Fulves's Pallbearers Review" are chock full of stuff.

And while I'm here, Steve Beam's "Trapdoor" is worth considering. Also three volumes.

I've always considered Richard's Almanac one of the great buys in magic and I see The Evil One has already mentioned that.

If you like Fulves stuff, my preference is Epilogue. Unfortunately, he never considered his Riffle Shuffle publications, part of the run. Too bad, it's his best stuff.

Seldom remembered is Ammar's Magical Arts Journal - lots of good stuff.

My library isn't huge, but I tend to collected bound magazines and anthologies. My favorite is probably the latter, including:

1. The Art Of Astonishment
2. The Trost Series
3. The Sankey Series
4. The Bloom stuff

Here's my small collection. I'm missing Magick and the Beam Stuff. Maybe some day.......
