You see some of us perform for the real world and don't really care, what magicians think? Then again others are but shells of men, ready to crumble at the slightest barb.

Who's being sarcastic?

Marc Spelman is a very sensitive guy and one of the most beautiful people, I have ever met. it's possible seriously, that he would be crushed by your comments.

Then there is no need to tell him is there?

RayJ,
Your comments on the dwindling of attendance at magic conventions deserves a thread of its own (perhaps we already have one, I haven't checked!). For all the dwindling of numbers at the IBM and SAM meetings and conventions, interestingly the attendance at Magic Live, The Genii Convention and Magi-Fest have grown significantly over the years.

And you're from State College? Do you ever get to Philly?

Good to know Ray

As a professional courtesy how about a couple of free tickets to your gig. Maybe we can get some coffee after (I'm buying) and I can give you my impressions of your performance. Since we both work for real laypeople in the real world though, it probably won't matter to you much?

Senor I think you've gone way overboard. I'm moving onto other subjects. Time for you to take a deep breath.

I guess that means no tickets huh. No matter.

Oh and I'm breathing just fine, but thanks for your concern.

Be well.

Magic is not going to be doing well, if we start getting personal on this forum......cool down!

What Don said. Double. Keep it civil, Jose. As you have noted yourself, we're not like some of the other boards. Civility is required. Thanks.

Incredible.

My son and I actually got into magic shortly after watching "Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed" on Netflix.

Some of you may cringe at that statement, and I can't blame you, but it inspired both of us to start learning magic.

Thanks to everyone who manages this forum and the members who have provided invaluable help!

Buffalo, I take your return to magic as a big positive regardless of how it came to be!

I wonder if there are any reliable figures on all of the above? Not that it matters I suppose because it is what it is. I'm happy to hear of the success experienced by the conventions you mentioned. I will have to try to get to one in the next year or so.

Hi Jose, Ray, Anthony...

I wanted to take a moment to thank you fellas for settling the tension that was rising with regard to Ray's comments on Marc's routing on AGT. Things could have really gotten out of hand. You gentlemen did a fantastic job ensuring that we maintain the spirit of this forum.

For the record, I want us to be able to honestly talk about the things that we like and don't like. As long as it's done in a respectful manner (like Ray did), I think that it's fair for us to share our opinions. When those comments are directed at people that we know personally, certain comments can be difficult to hear. It's easy to take up someone's offense (not always advisable). I'm going to take you at your word when you said that your comments weren't intended to be sarcastic.

With that says, it gives me an opportunity to remind the members of this community that this forum is a passive-agressive/sarcasm free zone and it will take all of us to ensure that it stays this way.

Rudy
