Many magicians have benefited from reading these card books, and most folk know Gemini Twins, but I am curious to know what other tricks from his Self-Working series you enjoy?

My favorite is: Quick as a Wink - it's the one featured on the cover of the book.
The guy who owned the magic shop I used to go to demo'd that trick and I bought the book based off that one trick.

Opposite Twins from the book My Best Self Working Card Tricks is a favourite of mine. And Coincido from Self-Working Close-up Card Magic is another!

Steven Youell has posted some excellent detailed notes on the Karl Fulves books, in which he highlights some of the best material, and summarizes each effect.

It is a fantastic contribution, and I highly recommend these three articles. See them elsewhere right here on The Magicians Forum:

YES!  I was going to recommend searching for the Steven Youell notes, but you beat me to it, EndersGame.

Thanks for posting the links.  Well worth reading.

I have his Self-Working Rope Magic book. The tricks run from lame to pretty amazing. Amazon wants $9 US for the book. Is it worth it? I would say yes.  However, I bought my copy used and paid $5.50 for it, and it was definitely worth that, at least in my opinion because I found several fun tricks I've added to my repetoire.

It would be fun to do a collection of tricks, no explanation of methology, from those book so people could see the effects themselves. I think that would be the most useful kind of review a book could have. I guess Rudy is doing that with Apocalypse, now that I think about it.
