...shouldn't it be, "Limited by your lack of imagination?".

To me an imagination wouldn't limit anyone despite their pursuits...yet I'm constantly reading that we magicians are limited by our imaginations when it comes to the diversity we can squeeze from a particular effect or move.

Forgive me if this seems a petty observation ,but I've been housebound thanks to school cancellations due to a winter storm.

At least I have time to practice magic!

Back to the mat!

I think "limited by your imagination" is meant to be irony and not literal.

Some people have very little imagination.
They see something made out of Lego building blocks and all they see are a group of Lego building blocks.

Other people have pretty good imagination.
They see something made out of Lego building blocks and to them it's a plane. They hold it in their outstretched arms and spin around like the plane is flying.

And still other people have a very good imagination.
The see something made out of Lego building blocks and it's a 747 only half filled with passenger and crew. They take off and the fasten your seatbelts light goes off. Suddenly someone is showing a magic trick at the back of the plane. There's laughing and commotion suddenly everyone wants to see the magic. They get out of their seats and move to the back of the plane. This disrupts with weight load of the plane. Oh no. The stress fractures that were marked off as "passable" by the ground crew are getting bigger. Just as the magician reveals the four aces on top of the deck, the plane breaks in half and everyone plunges to the earth in a fiery crash.

Lego Building Blocks - Limited only by your level of imagination.

Homeless People On The Street

When walking through the streets on Manhattan you see many people on the street who are homeless – or so it appears. Some of these people have signs – and some signs are interesting.

Sometimes (not always) my heart goes out to one or more of them and I give them – well – something (though I wonder whether if what I gave will make any difference and then I rationalize saying that if everyone gave what I did the poor person would not be a poor person etc.------)

Anyway – one afternoon my wife Linda and I were walking in Manhattan and we came across a man sitting on the sidewalk with a sign that read, “I need a Miracle.”

“I think I have a deck of cards---”

“Jerry!” exclaimed Linda.

“I was just kidding.” I said as I gave the man a dollar bill.
