From Dan Fleshman's FB wall...

Howie Schwarzman November 21, 1927 - July 21, 2020.

Sadly the passing of another legend and great person in the world of magic. I first met Howie at The Midwest Magic Jubilee in the late seventies. What appealed to me most was not his incredible magic but the character, the person. We hit it off from day one. Then my wife and I attended The Winter Carnival of Magic I believe in 1990 or 1991 close to when we had just gotten married. And when he and I would get together he always asked how she was doing. They met a few times after that meeting and would always have a great visit. Those of you who know my wife knows she is not one to hang out with magicians but she loved Howie. Will miss you my friend.

Sad news[frown]. He was a class act for sure. Met him briefly. He was of diminutive stature but a giant of magic. He had really small hands but could do a perfect pass and digonal palm shift. It's not the hands which limit you.

I just also heard of Howie’s passing from one of our locals. Howie was a big part of Baltimore magic scene.
He was a mentor to Denny Haney also from Baltimore.
You would find Howie popping in at many of the different club meetings. And just hanging out at the Brick and Mortor shops when they were around.
We went together to an early 4F gathering. I was in awe to just watch all of the talent there.
He would host Magicians he knew from around the world at his home. I remember meeting Flip at his house.
And he could also palm cards with his small hands.
Thanks Howie 😥
