Hi, my friends!

Any suggestions for other utilities of an okito box (not only with coins)??

I have in mind use a ring or a folding card maybe....

Somebody got any idea?

Thanks, guys.

Interesting question. Well, Theo Bamberg apparently suffered from indigestion so it was his pill box that started it all. Justifying the Okito Box has two schools of thought. One says don't bother, just call it a magic box, while others say it demands explanation.

To your question, a card would have to be folded quite small, even for a $1.00 box. So I think that is out. Maybe a ring box as you suggest? But with a velvet insert maybe to cushion it.

a small die... I think I have some small enough I could put 2 or 3 in an Okito Box … but what then?

And again, not sure the justification when you could use some other box.

Hm. Top of my head:

What about a two-flavor transposition using LifeSavers?

Or maybe perform Clifton's Ring Move - either on its own or as part of a longer routine - and have the ring reappear in the Okito Box, only to disappear and reappear on the string/rope?

And Ray's right, you'd have to use a micro-mercury fold to get a playing card to fit in a standard box... but what about billets? Steal, peek, return. Have to think over the details, but it might work.

Thanks everybody!

Great ideas, guys.  The lifesafers thing is beatiful. I'try this.

The question arose when i read Mark Leveridge's book "The strolling magician".
There's a routine with a ring and an okito box, but i dont like the construction (and the effect).
