Hey folks -- Ever want to be on P&T Fool Us?  Michael Close just announced auditions for P&T S6 on the Genii Forum:

Okay ladies and gents, here's the announcement we've all been waiting for: Penn & Teller Fool Us has been renewed for a sixth season.

If you have an interest in being on the show, contact me at fuclose@gmail.com and I will let you know whom to get in touch with.

Here's the catch: The plan right now is to tape the show the last week of February and the first week of March (this is a week earlier than last season), so you need to act now - don't put it off.

I am available for consulting via Skype if you want to discuss your act.

Thanks.

Here is his response if you want to audition:

Darren Toon is the guy to contact (fooluscasting@gmail.com). He is the casting coordinator.

Send your video submissions to him.

--

If you are interested, I would strongly suggest you find all interviews of Mike Close talking about his consulting on the show and what he looks for in a magic act. I would also strongly urge you get lots of coaching from experienced magicians, theatre directors and perhaps even sharing your presentation with us on the Forum and letting us put in our two cents!

Is there any way we can get Harry Lorayne on the show and do some card magic?

Could you imagine how he would totally blow away people who don't know him at all - they certainly wouldn't be expecting a 90+ year old to be such an entertainer and so slick with cards.

Yes, Ender, that would be really terrific! But it would be a very long trip cross country for Harry. Perhaps, though, the P&T team could set up something remotely?

I wouldn't mind helping with the logistics if need be.

Yeah, flying is darn difficult for me now.  Just going through a thing re: flying to Europe. The San Vincente magic convention in Italy wants me there in mid-May to receive an important award, and etc.  This will be after my 93rd birthday. Trying to work it out so that my son, his wife and daughter take me through the trip - make it a bit of a vacation for them. I'm letting Robert (my son) handle it. We shall see.

I can appreciate that! My mom is 92. She is still quite with it, but has slowed down quite a bit.
Plus, she can't do a four-ace routine like you, Harry!!

Don't "fret it," Mbreggar - I know literally thousands 40-years young and younger, who can't do a four-ace routine....
