Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry about the delay in posting the link for our Saturday Session.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to host it because I've got a gig. The great things is that I talked to Trini Montes and he said that he'd love to host it for us.

I'm bummed that I'm going to miss it.

Since Trini doesn't have the business version of Google Hangouts, there is VERY limited space. Only 25 participants can join him. He'll post the link shortly.

As soon as you see the link, I would encourage you to sign up as quickly as possible. Because of that, I'll give all of our Inner Circle members access to the video recording of this weekend's session.

Trini would be interested to know what some of you would like to share, so please post that here.

I'm grateful to Trini for his willingness to step in for me. It's going to be great!

Take care,

Rudy

Hi Rudy, Hi Trini,

thank you Trini to jump in!
It´s not sure whether I can make it; normally I would register and log in when I can, but with that limited space I spare to do so. Perhaps can anyone give a short note at that time of the session if there would be some places availlable.
Thank you and have fun folks!

All the best,
Axel

Hi Everyone,

Here is the link for the Saturday Session: https://goo.gl/NyAynJ

The fun gets started at 2pm (Pacific). I'll be there to start the session, but can only stay for about 20 minutes.
Because of that my friend, Trini Montes, will be hosting this session!

I expect that you fellas are going to have a great time! I'm glad that it's going to be recorded!

See you soon!

Rudy

You guys are very welcome. I'm so glad to hear that the fun was able to continue in spite of some of the hiccups. It was great to see some new folks join us. I look forward to the next session and promise that we will not have that issue happen again.

Hey I had a blast, even though I wasn't super vocal. I don't have much contact directly with other magicians now a days, but I am trying to change that. I have a lot of ideas that I am stoked to show next time, and if anyone that was there didn't catch the link/password to my Unparalleled change I taught, PM me and I will get it to you, asap. I have a lot of stuff to show and now that I've broken the ice a little bit I am more excited for next time. I had a super good time and learned some great stuff. Thank you again.

Just for sake of completeness...

I wanted to mention the source of the Overhand Shuffle Shift that I mentioned.  It's on Allan Ackerman's Advanced Card Control Vol 3 about 55 minutes in.  This is an old A-1 production.  He may have it in print as well, but nothing that I have.

He calls it (creatively) The Overhand Shuffle Shift  [smile]  He doesn't give credit to this, so I can only assume it is Allan's.

He also describes how to go into a top palm with the cards that are "shifted"

From all of my research, this looks like the one I will probably be using for my application.  It fits my "casual" style.

Thanks again for everyone's input on the Shifts!

Thanks for the Ackerman reference Craig. It's a very good MS. I'll probably stay with the Neil Elias Multiple shift which I misnamed yesterday as Benzais multiple shift. Sorry!

It is well described in Dear Mr. Fantasy on pp. 104-106.

The Benzais Fan Steal is in "Marlo In Spades." That always comes to mind for some reason when I think of multiple shifts.

Speaking of Fan Steals - check out the Cornelius Fan Steal. It's an excellent move.

Welcome aboard Ben. Thanks for showing that color change. Way cool. Us "old guys" are amazed by the very high level of skill among the younger set. The practice ethic is alive and well. And so is creativity.

I was standing with Daryl as we both watched a very young Garrett Thomas at John Luka's convention years ago. Daryl said, "Magic is in good hands." I totally agree.

Was the problem on my end or did the session die after Rudy left - or did it go to the expected conclusion?

There was some confusion, but I found my way to the reformed session which went on for a couple of hours. It was a bit spotty, but still much fun.

Hello.  I was unable to make the lecture ... I am hoping seats were filled!  It sounds like it was great.

Rudy or Trini, will there be a link to a recording?

Many thanks!

Thanks Mike!!! As I mentioned, I haven't sessioned much in "the real world" so I am still a bit timid but I am defintlely looking forward to it again. Just had to break the ice. Thank you for showing us those multiple shifts! The Ackerman shift that doesn't disturb the entire pack is something I was actually looking for to add into a routine where the reds and blacks don't mix and you can produce the four aces. I couldn't think of a way to do it. I hate to admit I don't have any Ackerman material but now I want it all.

Excited for the next one!

Ackerman is awesome. He has a number of DVDs out and many sets of notes as well as the hard back book.

Have fun.

Did I miss the link for the recording of the second half of the session?  I am not seeing it any place.

I don't have the link for the first or second half of Saturday's session. Where can I find them?

There was technical issues during the first half and I don't think it was recording the second half since Rudy had to leave. I might be wrong, but I don't think the second half was recorded.

The second half was on the basic hangouts...I am pretty sure by default that it saves it.
