Hey Guys,

For those interested, Vanishing Inc has finally re-released Scripting Magic Vol 1 and now also a Vol 2.

https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/magic-books/scripting-magic-deluxe-set-volumes-1-and-2/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ScriptingMagic&tcbl=662&te=1029&tmd=f496b60454&utm_content=header&

You can buy separately or the deluxe version.  I've been waiting 2 years for this.  As a bonus, they still have their black friday deal going, so you can select certain other effects (there's a list), for free.  So got the books plus some new effects.

Ok, back to work.

While no doubt a valuable resource, as a far less expensive alternative I would recommend taking a look at Robert McKee's STORY: Style, Structure, and the Principles of Screenwriting. His follow up book, Dialogue, is also worth reading. While specifically geared toward screenwriters, the information is usable for any writer of anything, scripts, stories, novels, etc.

Scripting Magic Vol. 1 is one of my favorite non-trick magic books because of how practical all of the information is. I highly recommend it and hopefully I can get my hands on Vol. 2 soon. Also, Anthony, thanks for recommending Story. It could be interesting to read about script writing from a non-magic POV.

Thanks Anthony!  I heard of that book from Robert England on an interview but failed to take action on it.

Added it to my Amazon wish list.

Thank you!
