I asked this question on my Facebook page this morning, and did get an answer.  But I thought maybe someone here would have a good update on Simon.  How is he, and how's his recovery going?  Last I heard he had went to the hospital for something in his brain, and that was after his fall.  Just kind of worried about him, especially with the passing of Tom Mullica.

I hadn't heard that he fell. Hope that he's ok.

Saw him about a month ago at the magic circle. He seemed very well.

He took a good fall I want to say back at the end of 2014.  Fractured his femur in three places, so his Dad moved him back to England.  Hadn't heard much of an update since then, until I saw about his brain thing.  That was on the GoFundMe page that was set up to help him out.

That is really good news.  I've always liked Simon, and I hope he continues to get better.

I have the two from LLePub, as well as a couple videos.  I've never taken the time to learn anything out of them, but I have read and watched them.  Simon's delivery and interaction with his audience are just amazing.  I don't care how many times I watch it, I'm on the floor laughing every time!

I have worked through each item with cards in hand cover to cover from both his large hardcovers (as I have with every book I own) and I am amazed at how much practical material there is. Wonderful volumes.

Simon's last U.S. appearance was at the 2014 Portland Magic Jam that my friend Dave Lemberg and I hosted. Simon used a wheel chair when I picked him up from the airport, but was able to get along fairly well walking with a cane throughout the weekend. In other words, the broken femur was healing nicely.

Despite the leg getting better, he was in pain the whole time he spent with us in Oregon...however, you would have never known by watching him perform, lecture, or shoot the breeze in the pub. It was a shock when several months later it was reported he was in tough shape and living back in England with his father. The people who attended the Portland Magic Jam that year will NEVER forget the likes of Simon Lovell...the loveable wild man of magic.

Had Simon lecture in my magic shop back in the day. I had a book on card cheating that he didn't have so we made a trade. Glad to hear he is doing well.

Things certainly changed for the better for Simon, compared to the "diagnoses" from earlier.  Damian, will you be attending the lecture?
