Joe Stevens is a legend in magic.  I can remember first hearing his name when I was hanging out at the DeVoe Magic Den in St. Louis.  Gene DeVoe was good friends with Joe and they would speak on the phone a lot, often when I was in Gene's shop.

I met him in person at The Midwest Magic Jubilee at his booth and later several times at his shop in Wichita.  I also met his son, Mark, who is also a super nice guy.

I was in Steven's Magic Emporium one day and was speaking with Mark about billiard ball manipulation and I told him I used to perform it in my stage act.  He said, wait a minute, left and returned with a huge box of all sorts of assorted balls.  Kind of a "ball graveyard".
There were regular wooden billiard balls, shells and lots of special gimmicks that allowed for a self-contained color change.  It was fun to poke around in there.

So I recommend you check their website and throw some business their way.  They've done and continue to do a lot for the magic community.
