I am wondering if there is a move that you use that does the same job of the Hamman count?

For a 5 card count I think the Omega count works.

Ah, yes. Veeser count.  Will take a look at that again. 

Hower Hamberg has some good work on that!

So if I understand, you are looking for a method to count n cards as n but hide the faces of several of them?

I am looking for something other than the Hamman Count, cause that "jump" in the middle, which of, I am not a big fan. 

yes... looking at counting cards that has 7 cards, but you show three of them twice.

John, maybe this variation of the Hamman count would fit your purpose?

Here I demo a HC with a fingertips grip. It uses 5 cards, but would work for 7 too.
