I've only heard a small bit about this book. Thoughts?

The book is currently oop but I believe that there is a possibility of a reprint happening on Kickstarter (Go to updates):

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

I like the book very much. His take on the half pass is great. When you get it down you can reverse 51 cards or less with nothing to see. Of course there's a lot more than that.

If you don't mind getting an eBook, get it directly from Aaron:

I paid through the teeth for a copy, and will be doing so again for this updated one, that's how highly I rank it.  I'm also not one of those book collectors, everything I buy I (intend to) read thoroughly.

Aaron Fisher sold me on his abilities, and his approach to magic with his penguin lecture, which I consider to be the best lecture I've ever seen.  Not penguin lecture, but magic lecture full stop.  I'm not a member of his conjuror community, but based on the videos I have seen of him, his approach to foundational sleights etc. I think we're absolutely on the same wavelength, and he's someone who has tread the paths I want to tread, only much deeper.

His sleights are also quite cool to learn, and practical (although the only one I've ever ended up using in performance is his one handed pop-over, and that's not a staple).

I recommend the book wholeheartedly, it's very well written by him and Lovick (although I must say, I don't like the glossy paper that was used in the first edition, I'm hoping they don't do that again, but still it's the content that's more important).

Downside with ordering is that you also have to pick up the deck, which I'm personally not a fan of.  I love crushed bee stock (will be quite keen to see how thin they crush it), so I think I'll probably enjoy the feel of the cards, but my aesthetics don't allow me to appreciate the card design.  I'm a big fan of standard faces, don't like the ace design, am neutral on their design for the jokers and really unhappy that it's got the words 'Conjuror Community' on the tuck case.  That said, given that Aaron and Lee are involved, I will probably end up completely falling in love with the feel of the cards, and instantly regret not stocking up on a gross while they're still at kickstarter price.

Yes, it is.
A book that I recommend a lot to the amateurs, because it focuses on the psychology of the spectators, analysing the magician's attitude to focus more on the spectators than on their own hands, which thus helps the misdirection and learn to manoeuvre instinctively; a very theoretical and ideal book for amateurs, even if not for beginners.

I love his "Search and Destroy" as I have presented it by some thrilling and touching stories.
I have performed a version of it even with a Mem Deck.

I have the PDF that Aaron gave out with his Visual Card Magic lessons.  It's pretty good, but definitely not a "101" type book.  I used to use his Search and Destroy, and one of the ones from the online course all the time at the bar.  Blew the customers away.
