Are you saying you want to perform two push-through back to back, but only perform the up-the-ladder cut on the 2nd one?
I hope I understand your question.
The way I do it: I cut the top half to the right and perform the push-through up to the point where the ends are sticking out on each side. Then, instead of pulling the packets apart at an angle, I pull both packets apart on a straight line and immediately perform a 2nd shuffle followed by the running cut.
You’ll see that pulling the packets in a straight line is very deceptive, especially when you follow up with a second shuffle.
Edit: I perform my "regular" push-through by cutting the top half to the left, that's why I cut the top half to the right on the 1st shuffle so as to be in position to execute the 2nd shuffle with the original top on the left.
