Here's a full performance of an effect I released a little while ago. It's just a fun little effect. Hope you enjoy!

That was indeed a fun little effect. Having Ben Blau hanging out to help didn't hurt a bit, did it?!

One thing, and you are probably already aware of this, but the lighting makes it difficult to discern the different colors of the cards. I initially thought they were all black, with the exception of one gold.

Was that based on a Steinmeyer idea?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Yeah, Ben's a great guy.
The colors are definitely discernible in real life. It's based on an old idea that I first came across in a Martin Gardner book.
When I released it, I gave a couple of presentational ideas too.

Very magical. Looks like it was filmed backstage of a theater

It was actually an eclectic boutique in a downtown area. Thanks for the kind words.

The routine is available at Penguin for anyone who's interested.

That’s a trip. I have never seen this type of procedure done for a prediction effect. It fooled me :)
I’m interested in understanding what makes it work. For just five bucks, I’ll buy it.

It looks like one of those types of procedures that is difficult to communicate to a spectator. Your friend was very helpful in that regard.

Thanks for sharing it with us!

Rudy

Thanks so much, Rudy. It's based on an old math principle. Normally, I perform with a full "practice" run, to make sure the participant understands the instructions.
Also, if any one has ANY questions about the effect, I'd be more than happy to answer them in PM.

Cheers,

Craig
